Radio comedy Cabin Pressure has been voted Comedy of the Year by the readers of comedy website The British Comedy Guide. The sitcom, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Roger Allam and Finnemore, finished this Christmas. The writer also won Best Radio Sketch Show for John Finnemore’s Souvenir Programme.

The awards were particularly good news for the BBC, who won every ‘Best’ category. Detectorists won Best New British Sitcom, Would I Lie To You won Best TV Panel Show. Inside No 9, which had been harshly overlooked by other Awards, won Best British TV Comedy Drama. The Editors' Award went to Blandings, which starred Timothy Spall and Jennifer Saunders.
