News: QI Podcast to Go Live in Soho

QI Podcast

The hit podcast No Such Thing As A Fish, presented by the "Elves" from QI, is to go live. The team will present a run of dates at the Soho Theatre from February 23.

Have you ever wondered who New Zealand’s National Wizard is? Or what colour the sunset is on Mars? Or how many chicken nuggets Usain Bolt ate during the Beijing Olympics? The answer to these, and many other questions, will hopefully be found at the live recordings.

In each episode QI's resident Elves Dan Schreiber, James Harkin, Andrew Hunter Murray and Anna Ptaszynski serve up the most bizarre, extraordinary and hilarious facts they've uncovered in the course of their week's research.

In the year since it launched No Such Thing As A Fish has attracted more than seven million listens, and has become a mainstay in the top five in the UK iTunes podcast charts, with each episode being listened to 100,000 times. It has also reached no.4 in the Australian charts, and made it into the top 15 in Canada and the top 50 in the US and as well as being named iTunes Best New Podcast 2014. Celebrities including Stephen Fry and Richard Osman have endorsed the show on Twitter and the public reviews on iTunes have been overwhelmingly positive. Big name guests on the show have included Horrible Histories’ historian Greg Jenner, comedian and Belgium’s answer to Stephen Fry, Lieven Scheire, founder of the IgNobel prizes, Mark Abrahams, and winner of Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, Alex Edelman.

Here is BTJ's review of the podcast last year, which also explains where the title comes from.

Mondays from February 23 to March 30. Tickets here.
