News: Toast of London Gets Third Series

Toast of London

Toast of London is to return for a third series. It has been announced today that the C4 sitcom starring Matt Berry as hapless actor and voiceover merchant Steven Toast has been recommissioned.

Channel 4’s Comedy Head Phil Clarke paid tribute to the quirky comedy which started out as a one-off episode: "Channel 4 has always backed original comedy, the type of shows you wouldn't find anywhere else, and Toast of London represents a significant new chapter in that story, and in our comedy heritage."

The series, probably best known for the recording studio intros featuring Toast and Clem Fandango, finished tonight with an episode entitled Fool in Love which included a cameo from Josh Homme from Queens of the Stone Age.

The sitcom, which is co-written by Arthur Mathews, has been nominated for a number of British Comedy Awards. Details here.
