Joe Lycett And Isy Suttie Guest On Sunday Brunch

Joe Lycett Fans Split Over Plan to Shred £10k If David Beckham Doesn't Quit Qatar Deal

Mischievous comedian and campaigner Joe Lycett is one of the guests on Sunday Brunch this week.

Lycett's last appearance on a daytime chat show was when he was on Steph McGovern's weekday show Steph's Packed Lunch and appeared to "kick off" and leave the set in a sulk after a chat about not using plastic bottles. Lycett later said that this was all a stunt to publicise his stance against plastic bottles. "All of it was planned, all of it rehearsed. "

Lycett will be talking to Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer about his new C4 series of Joe Lycett's Got Your Back, returning this Thursday, in which he combines comedy with fighting for consumer rights, somewhere between the sort of thing Mark Thomas used to do and the sort of thing Esther Rantzen used to do on That's Life.

Things are looking good for the Birmingham comedian who famously invited the Mayor of Birmingham to the opening of his kitchen extension. He has also recently announced a major UK tour in which he will be playing arenas around the country.

He is also one of the stars of a brand new Comic Relief online series alongside Katherine Ryan and Shappi Khorsandi.

Also appearing on Sunday Brunch this week is Isy Suttie who will be talking about her new book, Jane Is Trying. Suttie might be best known for playing Dobby on Peep Show. Her real-life partner/boyfriend is fellow comedian Elis James and she has also recently revived her podcast The Things We Do For Love.

Plus rappng chef and Dave star Big Zuu, comic legend and Victoria Wood regular Celia Imrie and rising singer Mabel, whose mum is Neneh Cherry. Her full name is Mabel Alabama-Pearl McVey – her father is producer Cameron McVey, who was also a pop star back in the 1980s.

Sunday Brunch, Sunday, C4, 9.30am.
