Comedian Jackie Mason Dies

Comedian Jackie Mason has died at the age of 93.

Reports say the American comedian had been in hospital in Manhattan and died in his sleep.

Mason had a long career in stand-up comedy appearing on the legendary Borscht Belt circuit before becoming a TV and national star.

His curmudgeonly style, skewering everything from pop culture to politics, won him countless fans around the world, with his one man shows selling out on Broadway and in London.

News: Jackie Mason Comes To UK

Legendary US comedian Jackie Mason is returning to the UK for three gigs this June. The veteran comic will be at the Adelphi Theatre in London from June 1 - 3.

Mason's new show will be an evening of his trademark pungent satire, with a particular eye for the Anglo-American political scene, pop culture and current events. His latest targets include 50 Shades of Grey, the Kardashians, President Obama and Syria, the Milliband brothers, Madonna and the Apple Watch.
