Edfest.com‘s new LOVE THE FRINGE DAY on Saturday 2nd August will offer deals and discounts for ticket buyers and performers alike. After a successful launch in 2024, the Love the Fringe initiative from the EdFest.com group of venues is back and bigger than before.
The Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society has launched the 2025 Edinburgh Festival Fringe programme.
This year’s programme features work from 3,352 shows across 265 venues.
A new website called FringeRat has launched to help people discover comedy acts among the hundreds at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Visitors to the site are shown a short video of a randomly selected act. They can either click “Get tickets” to go to the Fringe website and see details of the act’s show, or click “Scamper on” to see another act.

The Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society has announced the continuation of their partnership with the AI research and development company Anthropic, as the Official Education Partner of the Fringe for 2025.
Edinburgh local Ayo Adenekan has been revealed as winner of this year’s Brass Tacks Debut Fund, supported by Red Bull UK. Ayo will bring his debut hour ‘Black Mediocrity’ to renowned comedy venue Monkey Barrel this August as part of a new funded Fringe scheme.
A new comedy compeition is being launched with comedians battling it out for the title of Edinburgh Fringe Comedian of the Year and a cash prize of £1000.

Scottish comedy producer Brass Tacks Comedy is offering a funded Edinburgh Festival Fringe debut for one Scottish or Scotland-based comedian for 2025 - an opportunity supported by Red Bull UK.
In advance of show registration for the 2025 Edinburgh Festival Fringe opening on Monday 13 January, the Fringe Society is implementing some changes for next year’s festival, adjusting fees and commissions as follows:
Fringe Box Office fee rebate
Since 2022 the Fringe Society has operated a fee rebate process after payout, redistributing a share of the revenue from Fringe Society box office booking fees, which are paid by audiences, and retaining only what is required to provide services to the Fringe.
