Channel 4 has announced that Bella Ramsey (The Last of Us, Time) will co-lead the cast of Maya, the new drama written and created by BAFTA and International Emmy-nominated Daisy Haggard (Back To Life, Breeders). Starring alongside Ramsey, Haggard (pictured) will also make her directorial debut and co-direct the original Two Brothers (The Tourist, Fleabag, Boat Story) series alongside Jamie Donoughue (Doctor Who, The Last Kingdom).
And so the second series of Am I Being Unreasonable? comes to an end. In all my many years of TV reviewing I'm not sure if something so eagerly anticipated has ever turned out to be so disappointing. After the sheer brilliance of the first series which had me on the edge of my seat alternately laughing and watching through my fingers, this second series has simply confused me.
Ashley Walters, Daisy May Cooper, Jodie Whittaker, Warwick Davis and Nova Twins are the guests on this week's edition of The Jonathan Ross Show.
This second series of Am I Being Unreasonable? is proving to be a real up and down affair. After a disappointing first episode and and brilliant second episode this third instalment feels a little like treading water. And quite muddled water at that.
OK, I take it all back. After last week's opening episode of the second series which barely made any narrative sense to me this distinctive series is very much back on track in the second episode, which is compelling and hilarious in equal measures for a number of reasons.
If you enjoyed the first series of Am I Being Unreasonable written by and starring Daisy May Cooper and Selin Hizli you will probably really be looking forward to this second series. I certainly was. But I'm going to come clean. I could barely follow what was going on in the first episode of the new series. You'll have to watch it yourself to decide if I'm being unreasonable.
