Bath New Act 2023 Finalists Revealed

After twelve heats, the best acts battle it out on Friday, April 14, in the Grand Final at Bath's flagship venue - the Bath Forum - judged by a panel comprising comedy industry heavyweights.

There will also be a performance from last year's winner Adam Flood while the judges deliberate.

The winner will be presented with the coveted Bath Comedy New Act Of The Year Award, receive £250 and guaranteed paid gigs throughout the following year.

Originally due to start on 1st April, the Bath Comedy Festival has added a "Week zero", which commences Monday 28th March with the first heats of the New Act Competition held at Revolution Bath, then a new local Stark Raven

News: Bath Comedy Festival Launches Crowdfunding Campaign

For the last 12 years Bath Comedy Festival has brought some of comedy’s biggest stars to Bath, including Greg Davies, Jon Richardson, Paul Merton, Rory Bremner and Henning Wehn, alongside international stars such as Doug Stanhope and David Crowe. The festival has benefitted from the long-term support of famous patrons Arthur Smith, Barry Cryer and Helen Lederer, along with celebrities like Lorraine Chase and Christopher Biggins.

Bath Comedy Festival has launched its official programme.

The launch at the Bill Murray pub in London featured performances by Rory Bremner, Jess Robinson and Marcel Lucont, with puns aplenty from Darren Walsh and international stand-up from Romanian Radu Isac and Italian Luca Cupani.

News: Bath Comedy Festival New Act Results

The 10th annual Bath Comedy Festival New Act Competition saw 10 finalists battle it out in a packed room at Widcombe Social Club. The winner Pete Latham receives £250, a guaranteed paid gig at next year’s Festival and the inaugural Lovehoney Newcomer Award.

Runners up were Carl Carzana in second place, and in joint third, Thanyia Moore And Klaus White. The winner and runners up were each given a goody bag from Lovehoney.

News: Bath Comedy Festival - Line-Up Announced

The line-up for the Bath Comedy Festival 2018 has been announced. The festival celebrates its 10 year anniversary with acts including Jon Richardson, Viv Groskop, Rachel Parris, Zoe Lyons, Simon Evans, Helen Lederer and famous grumpy old man Arthur Smith.

The festival runs for a 20 days from March 27th - April 15th with events across a range of iconic venues in the city.
