Wondery and Amazon Music have announced a podcast distribution and ad-sales rep deal with award-winning Welsh comedian Rob Brydon for his hit podcast series Brydon &. The deal will see episodes of the renowned hit show publish one week early and ad-free on Amazon Music (available to Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers and Amazon Prime members) and Wondery+ from May 25th. Sharon Horgan has spoken at the BBC Comedy Festival in Cardiff about her work and career in comedy and drama, following her recent success with the Apple TV+ series Bad Sisters.
“The great thing about doing a drama is the realisation that comedy is still really important,” On Bad Sisters, Horgan “never thought ‘well this is a drama so I have to approach it in a different way’ – it’s the same old sh*t,” she added.
Acclaimed storyteller Mike Birbiglia brings his latest one man show The Old Man & The Pool to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe for a limited six night run, following sell out performances across the US, including a Broadway run at the Vivian Beaumont Theater at Lincoln Center.
