Award-winning stand-up Gary Delaney has announced a major tour for 2016, entitled There's Something About Gary.
Delaney's last tour was extended four times and took in over 240 dates. His new tour will once again showcase exactly why he is seen as one of the premier gagsmiths of his generation. One-liner king Delaney has a simple philosophy when it comes to jokes: "A good joke should be like a drunk Glaswegian, short and punchy."

I’m worried. You want to know what I’m worried about? I’m worried that I’m going to run out of new nice things to say about Sharon Horgan and Rob Delaney’s screwy screwball relationship comedy (with occasional screwing). And I’m worried that I might run out of different pictures to run with each glowing review. So far this gem of a show, now quickly into its second series, has not put a foot wrong.
The widow of comedian Robin Williams has suggested that it was not depression that drove her husband to take his life in August 2014.
In an interview with People Magazine, Susan Williams says “It was not depression that killed Robin. Depression was one of let’s call it 50 symptoms, and it was a small one.”
I'm really enjoying this gently quirky romantic comedy. The twist that the lovers barely meet is almost incidental. It’s the little details and beautifully nuanced performances that really make this a winner for me. I think the moment that swung it was last week during the picnic outing when dad Ashley (Alex Macqueen) ran round and checked that all the car door handles were locked just like I do. I guess it’s a Dad Thing.
It’s a fiendishly simple format. Get a bunch of motormouth, attention-craving comics round a table, light the blue touch paper and stand back. It is no surprise that this series, in which the title of each episode is chosen from the stories, is back for a third run.
Vic Reeves has posted a message on Twitter following Bob Mortimer's recent heart surgery.
Reeves wrote: "Thank you for all of your messages about Bob. He is doing well. He will return bigger, faster, stronger, better."
Last Leg star Adam Hills has confirmed a brand new tour for 2016 entitled Clown Heart. After a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe 2015, the feelgood Australian will be touring the UK in the Spring, starting in Yeovil on February 8 and ending in Weston-Super-Mare on March 26.
Sometimes comedy spots the zeitgeist before it becomes the zeitgeist. In Edinburgh this summer both Bridget Christie and Daniel Sloss had routines about the absurdity of tampons being taxed as a luxury item. This week UK MPs voted against a move to make the government cut tax on sanitary products, dubbed the "tampon tax". The Finance Bill amendment, which would have forced a negotiation with the EU for a reduction in the 5% VAT rate, was rejected by 305 to 287 votes.
