Russell Howard and Richard Herring are to play a major London benefit for the charity Scope.

The show will take place at the Union Chapel in Islington on September 20. Further names will be added to the bill later this week but you can buy tickets for the event now here.

There is also a Scope gig in Manchester on September 17 at the Comedy Store. The line-up has not been announced but you can buy tickets here.

Also Scope is offering one talented up-and-coming comedian the chance to perform a 5-minute set at either their London or Manchester gig, sharing the stage with some of the world’s best comedians.

All they need to do is:

  • Record themselves for 60-80 seconds telling us their best joke or stand-up routine
  • Share online using #JokeForScope including our social media handle @Scope, on Facebook, Twitter or @Scopecharity for Instagram.
  • Deadline is midnight on 26 August
