2014 is shaping up to be a busy year for Seann Walsh. The Brighton-bred comedian has just announced UK dates for his Foster's Award-nominated show The Lie-In King. The tour includes a short run at the Soho Theatre from February 3 - 8. Full details below.
Walsh is also set to move further into acting, following his appearance last year in the Comedy Central sitcom Big Bad World. He is about to film a one-off studio audience pilot for a BBC1 sitcom entitled Monks in which he stars as dole scorunger Gary Woodcroft, who avoids prosecution and prison by joining a monastery. His co-stars include The Vicar of Dibley's James Fleet as the abbot and Spaced's Mark Heap as Brother Francis who does not approve of Gary. Justin Edwards will also appear in what sounds like another stab at a broad, mainstream sitcom in the vein of Miranda. Transmission details are still to be confirmed.
