News: Rhys James and Isy Suttie Appear On House Of Games
New Novel for Isy Suttie

Following Angela Barnes' triumphant week on House of Games two more comedians, Isy Suttie and Rhys James, take on Richard Osman's challenge this week.

Brighton-based Barnes smashed a number of records, notching up the highest ever score and also winning all five episodes - an achievement that nobody else has ever matched in the history of the programme

This week Rhys James and Isy Suttie are up against two sporty opponents, Olympic gold-winning athlete Denise Lewis and former footballer David James.

James is the sharp-witted gag merchant best known to TV viewers for his appearances on Mock The Week. He is also a passionate Tottenham Hotspur supporter. In his last Edinburgh show Snitch he talked about growing up and moving into his first flat with his girlfriend. The Evening Standard said: "crowd-pleasing relatable entertainment rarely comes any sharper."

James also hosts a very funny podcast called Early Work in which comedians talk about their formative years. Guests include Ivo Graham, David Baddiel, Catherine Cohen and Jordan Brookes. He recently unearthed a tweet he posted in 2015 that has just gone viral: "If I was a losing party leader I'd keep saying 'I demand a recount!' over and over until 5 years had passed."

He has also appeared on Roast Battle, Comedy Central at the Comedy Store, Russell Howard’s Stand Up Central (Comedy Central), The News Quiz (Radio 4) and had his own 30 minute Comedy Central special as part of Soho Theatre Live. His first Radio 4 series, Rhys James is…was met with great praise.

Isy Suttie will be best known as Dobby from Peep Show, who had a very brief thing with David Mitchell's character Mark. In real-life Suttie proposed to her boyfriend, fellow comedian Elis James, in 2016. They have two children and have an arrangement whereby Elis does the night-time shifts and Isy does the cooking.

Suttie proposed to James at the launch party for her book The Actual One. Comedian John Robins tapped a glass and said: "Isy would like to say a few words...."

Suttie then said to James: "I love you. Will you marry me?"

You can buy Isy Suttie's acclaimed BBC series Isy Suttie’s Love Letters & Other Matters of the Heart: The Complete Series 1 and 2 here.
