News: Bob Mortimer's Train Guy Pulls Into The BBC

Bob Mortimer's online character Train Guy is coming to the BBC.

He is one of the characters in the new lockdown series Comedians: Home Alone, which starts on BBC Two on June 1 at 10.15pm.

Mortimer's clips of his over-sharing "Yah yah, for sure, you are as always, ciao, Col" commuter, often talking loudly and annoyingly about his business partner Geoff Linton, have become a massive hit on social media, regularly notching up millions of views. In this new show his character appears in animated form.

The first episode of this new quickfire sketch series will also feature Michael Spicer taking on Priti Patel in his viral sensation Room Next Door and married comedians Rachel Parris and Marcus Brigstocke perform a sensational lip sync battle taking on songs by Blue and Robbie Williams.

Also starring Kerry Godliman and Rhys James. The seven-part series will also include Vic Reeves, Tom Allen, Meera Syal and Sanjeev Bhaskar, Tez Ilyas, Russell Kane, Sally Phillips, Mat Horne and Richard Herring's Me1 v Me2 self-playing snooker activity.

Mortimer is no stranger to becoming an online hit. His appearances on Would I Lie To You? (pictured) have also become YouTube classics.
