Ricky Gervais has revealed when he will start filming the second series of the acclaimed Netflix comedy-drama After Life.

The award-winning comedian tweeted the news to his 13 million followers: "I start preproduction on #AfterLife2 next week and film it in September and October. Then I'm bringing #SuperNature to Europe! Madrid, Paris, Berlin, and Prague to start with. Stay Tuned for details." 

He has also just announced American dates for his latest live show Super Nature in 2020. He recently played a small tour of the UK but has not announced UK arena dates yet, although he will be appearing with Richard Dawkins in a special show on September 3. Details here.

Gervais has been overwhelmed by the public reponses to After Life. He tweeted: "Thanks for all your amazing tweets about #AfterLife still flooding in. The most overwhelming thing that has come from people talking to me about the show is the realisation that everyone is grieving to some extent. Everyone is going through hardship. "Hope is everything."
