Star of the award-nominated Mae Martin's Guide to 21st Century Sexuality (BBC Radio 4) and Mae Martin: Live at the Soho Theatre (Comedy Central) Mae Martin adds extra dates to her debut UK tour of her 2017 Edinburgh Comedy Award nominated show, Dope.
She’ll be returning to London’s Soho Theatre on February 23, hitting Canterbury and Glasgow, and finishing up back where it all started, in Edinburgh, on March 14.

In Dope, Mae shines a light on that one weird shrimp we all have in our brains that is happy to pursue short-term pleasure, despite knowing the long-term negative consequences. She asks: who are we when we're not addicted? Dope candidly charts Mae’s addictions, rehab, sexuality and her development from awkward youth to millennial observationalist.
Dope debuted at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2017 to widespread critical acclaim, with The Guardian describing it as ‘very funny and unexpectedly moving - the tightest and most well-paced show at the festival’.
Mae then took the show to the 2017 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where, from the dimly-lit basement of City Café, she took the festival by storm: racking up a sea of four and five star reviews, with audiences queuing up around the block an hour beforehand, and earning a nomination for the 2017 Edinburgh Comedy Award best show.
Dope toured the UK to sell-out dates in autumn 2017, and the second series of her BBC Radio 4 series aired to much acclaim. She recently wrote and shot a Channel 4 pilot and is due to release her first non-fiction book later this year.
