Ricky Gervais has revealed three promotional clips in the run-up to his return as host of the Golden Globes on January 10.

In the trailers for the NBC broadcast Gervais reveals his typically irreverent approach to the whole prize-giving industry.

In one 10 second trailer he just says the word "correct". 

In another he says "Hi, I'm Ricky Gervais and I'm hosting the Golden Globe Awards live from Los Angeles on January 10. Watch it if you've got nothing better to do. For three hours." He then sighs and breaks into his trademark cackle.

And in the final trailer he says: "Hi, I'm Ricky Gervais and I'm hosting the Golden Globe Awards live from Los Angeles. Watch it. Or not. It doesn't matter. I've been paid. Spent it. What can they do? But I've still got to do these. That was contractual."
