Sam Campbell and Lucy Beaumont are set to return with a new series of their hit podcast Lucy & Sam’s Perfect Brains. Series two launches on Friday 3rd October and will be available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and all major podcast platforms. The podcast is produced by Plosive and hosted by Acast.
Since launching in March 2024 Lucy & Sam’s Perfect Brains, has been enormously well received, clocking up over 1.6 million downloads and cementing its place as one of the most joyfully chaotic listens around. Bursting with surreal tangents, absurd theories, and wildly unpredictable formats, the podcast showcases their unique comedic chemistry making it an irresistible listen.
Series two will feature special guests including Mike Wozniak, Tim Key, James Acaster and the return of listeners’ favourite: Lucy’s mum.
Each episode is completely different from the last, with every bizarre format beamed directly from their perfect brains. This series covers a wild range of topics – from exploring the human body, to the greatest Saints of all time. The big question remains: can comedy’s biggest fruitcakes continue to conquer the podcast movement?
Lucy said: “I’ve been forced, against my will, to make another podcast with Sam. Just like my time in the Secret Service I will do it with utmost sincerity and professionalism. Let’s see where this mad project takes us.”
Sam Campbell: “Of all the people I’ve spoken to in my life, Lucy is easily the most… um… amazing. Together we hope to cover a broad range of topics.”
The podcast is produced by Plosive – the team behind award-winning podcasts including Off Menu with Ed Gamble and James Acaster, Sara & Cariad’s Weirdos Book Club, Single Ladies In Your Area with Amy Gledhill and Harriet Kemsley, Northern News, Nobody Panic, The Rob Auton Daily Podcast and Cuddle Club with Lou Sanders.
