Sorry I Didn’t Know Gets Sixth Series
TriForce Productions today announced that the all-star comedy panel show, and first ever quiz show centred around Black history, Sorry I Didn’t Know, has been recommissioned by ITV for a sixth series, breaking the show’s own record for longest running show from a Black-led production company.

Regular host, Jimmy Akinbola will be sunning himself in LA due to filming commitments on Bel Air so excitingly for this series, team captain Chizzy Akudolu will be stepping up into his hosting shoes, hoping to keep a tight rein on Eddie Kadi and new team captain, comedian and actor Richard Blackwood. It’s guaranteed to feature plenty of mind-blowing questions and even wilder answers combined with the show’s raucous chat and inevitable one-upmanship between the ultra-competitive team captains.

Filming will take place in the summer and will feature a roster of brilliant guests names following on from previous season’s guests which have included Adjoa Andoh, Gina Yashere, Munya Chawawa, Stephen K Amos, Marcus Brigstocke, Richie Anderson, Oti Mabuse, Jordan Stephens, Charlene White, Babatunde Aléshé, Shazia Mirza, Colin Jackson, Dane Baptiste, Seann Walshe and Jamelia.

Executive Producer for TriForce, Fraser Ayres said: “Chizzy has been part of the SIDK family since our pilot in 2016 and was amazing when she hosted an episode last series, so it’s great to see her in the hosting seat. And in Richard we have the perfect sparring partner for Eddie – They’re long-time friends and he has already shown he’s a brilliant and hilarious guest, so we are thrilled he will be joining the team on the regular. Chizzy will have her work cut out keeping them both in line but we have full faith in her to keep things on track and with her particular brand of chaos in the mix as well, what could possibly go wrong?!

Katie Rawcliffe, Director of Entertainment & Daytime Commissioning ITV added: “Sorry I Didn’t Know is infectiously funny and that is testament to the series returning for an impressive sixth series. This season Chizzy is stepping into Jimmy’s hot seat, and I can’t wait to see her take the helm.

The sixth series of the ground-breaking hit entertainment format was commissioned by Director of Entertainment & Daytime Commissioning ITV, Katie Rawcliffe and Entertainment Commissioner ITV, Gemma John-Lewis. It will be Exec Produced for TriForce Productions by Fraser Ayres, Minnie Ayres and Jimmy Akingbola. The Series Producer is Delia Williams.

Sorry I Didn’t Know will be filming in front of a live studio audience in London this summer with free tickets available via Event Brite SIDK page https://shorturl.at/Z0iVR
