Comedy Comes To A Pinch Of Vault

From the producers of VAULT Festival, A Pinch of VAULT returns to the Waterloo and Bankside area with four weeks of early-stage shows across theatre, comedy, and cabaret from 12th February - 10th March 2024. The comedy strand starts on February 27. Tickets are now on sale

Now in its third year, this expanded edition of A Pinch of VAULT takes over four venues in the Waterloo & Bankside area including the festival hub at The Glitch; VAULT’s vibrant café, bar and creative space on Lower Marsh, alongside Sino Thai, The Union Theatre, and Alaska. With both theatre and comedy programming, the festival features four exciting weeks of innovative and exciting performers, offering audiences the chance to get a first glimpse at this bold original work.

Kate Stone, Head of Comedy for VAULT, says: "This year's A Pinch of VAULT Comedy programme is incredibly varied, with standup, sketch, music and even a bit of science featured. I'm very excited to see so many great and original ideas come to life in our venues."

Performances include a new work in progress from Ania Magliano, winner of Best New Show at Leicester Comedy Festival who has written alongside comedian and viral sensation Amelia Dimoldenberg on Chicken Shop Date and Amelia's Cooking Show; and Stevie Martin's Edinburgh Fringe Preview, which sees her develop new work after years of being online only. Alfie Packham also offers a gift to the audience in his new show My Gift To You, while Raj Poojara's new work in progress show explores the realities of being a fair skinned Indian boy growing up in Britain. Additional performances include the festival's Civic Award Winner, Shaking Not Stirred, a one woman stand up extravaganza from Milla Olsen that focuses on educating, entertaining and breaking down stigmas around epilepsy in the silliest way possible.

Returning to A Pinch of VAULT, be amongst the first to watch Farah Sharp (as heard on BBC Radio 4, 'One to watch' - Funny Women Awards) chisel her much anticipated debut solo show into being; following her sell-out hit debut Fringe show, Lulu Popplewell brings you a work in progress hour full of yucky jokes; Ben Target brings a bedazzling evening of heart-warming stories about kissing and not-kissing; and resident artists at The Glitch, New Interesting Comedy Event (NICE) present an evening of comedy ranging from the bizarre to the embarrassingly personal - the one thing these comics have in common is that they're all certified nice people.
