Full Line-Up Confirmed For Slapstick Festival – Armando Iannucci, Sally Phillips, David Mitchell, Richard Herring and More

The full line-up for Slapstick 2022 is now complete with tickets for all events, including the newly-finalised silents-rich programme at Watershed, available to book via www.slapstick.org.uk from 10am tomorrow (Tuesday 15th).

 

The festival promises to see Bristol start the new year with one of the UK’s highest concentrations of comedy talent with the list of live guests including Ronni Ancona, Barry Cryer, Jon Culshaw, Andy Day, Richard Herring, Armando Iannucci, Robin Ince, Peter Lord,  Stephen Mangan, Paul McGann, Bill Oddie, Sally Phillips, Lucy Porter, Arthur Smith and Tim Vine.

 

Oodles of screen comedy favourites in the mix, too, plus a rare chance to see early Russian, Czech and Japanese silent comedies; the regional premiere of the new Chaplin documentary, events saluting the pioneering women from Hollywood’s youth, Bill Oddie exploring why it’s funny when it hurts and a live Zoom call with James Curtis about his new book: Buster Keaton: A Filmmakers’ Life.

 

Tickets make great presents, too, if you’re contemplating any round-ups of what to buy a comedy fan for Xmas. Slapstick options include individual shows starting from £8.50 (£5 concession) or two choices of pass are available – a £92 one granting admission to all Watershed events, plus Slapstick Divas and our Silent Film Gala, at Bristol Cathedral (17 in all) and a £18 6one securing seats at everything bar the Paddington event ( 26 events + a souvenir T-shirt and pin badge).
