News: Mae Martin Announces New Tour For 2021

Show And Tell in association with Curtis Brown are delighted to announce that Mae Martin - comedian, co-writer and star of Channel 4 and Netflix sitcom Feel Good, will tour the UK with latest show, Sap. Beginning at Manchester’s O2 Ritz on 5th October, Mae’s tour of Sap will take in an initial 7 shows, including London’s Leicester Square Theatre and Brighton’s Theatre Royal. Tickets go on sale on Friday 26th February at 10am via
In this highly awaited new live show, Mae looks at the uphill battle of trying to do the right thing in a world that sometimes seems to have lost its moral compass. With her characteristically manic self-reflection, she bounces between vice and virtue, optimism and pessimism, the urge to be our best selves versus the urge to gleefully give in to our more base instincts. But it's not all big questions - there's also a lot about sloths, moose, hot dogs, love, and tree sap. Sap comes in the wake of Mae’s Edinburgh Comedy Award 2017 Nomination for smash hit show Dope, which later toured the UK and was developed into a stand up special for Netflix’s Comedians of the World series.
On the announcement of the tour, Mae Martin said: “Please come and say hello to me on tour. I’m really excited about this new show, it’s probably the most fun I’ve had on stage and I can’t wait to share it with you. And I’m not just saying that because I’m starved for human attention. Let’s get together and commiserate, and, celebrate.”
MAE MARTIN is an award-winning British-Canadian comedian, actor, writer, and producer who can currently be seen starring in FEEL GOOD, a scripted, semi-autobiographical drama comedy series, which she also created and co-wrote. The first series, co-starring Lisa Kudrow, Charlotte Ritchie and Sophie Thompson, launched in the US and globally on Netflix and on Channel 4 in the UK to widespread praise and a perfect 100% “Certified Fresh” score on Rotten Tomatoes. FEEL GOOD won The Edinburgh TV Award 2020 for “Best Series” as well as the “Best Comedy Drama Series” at the C21 Awards. The series will return for its second and final season in 2021 with new cast members Eve, John Ross Bowie and Jordan Stephens.
In addition to the highly anticipated forthcoming second season of FEEL GOOD, Mae is developing a new young adult drama with Netflix.
Her most recent stand-up show, Dope, focused on addiction and was nominated for “Best Comedy Show” at the prestigious Edinburgh Comedy Awards while earning four and five star national reviews in the UK. The show has since been turned in to a stand-up special for Netflix as part of their first global stand-up series, COMEDIANS OF THE WORLD. Martin will return to stand-up with her new show, Sap, touring the UK in Autumn 2021.
MAE MARTIN’S GUIDE TO… series about sexuality and addiction were both BBC Audio Drama Award nominated and are available to listen to on BBC Sounds. Mae is also the author of Can Everyone Please Calm Down?: A Guide to 21st Century Sexuality, published in May 2019 by Hachette imprint Wren and Rook.
