Willan
BAFTA-winning comedian, writer and actor Sophie Willan is to be the new host of The Great British Sewing Bee, following three series with Sara Pascoe.
Bringing her own trademark wit and warmth, Sophie will join judges Patrick Grant and Esme Young to lead Britain’s most creative stitchers through their challenges when the new series arrives on BBC One and iPlayer next year and will also host the Christmas Celebrity Special later this year.
The brilliant comedian Sophie Willan is one of the guests on this Saturday's edition of The Jonathan Ross Show. Will is best known to Tv viewers as the creator and star of the award-winning and partly autobiographical sitcom Alma's Not Normal.
Britain’s leading forum for television and media, the Royal Television Society (RTS), has revealed the winners for the RTS Programme Awards 2025, in partnership with Cast & Crew. The ceremony was hosted by comedian Tom Allen.
Never mind the Baftas. Hot on the heels of the success of the second series of Alma's not Normal, Sophie Willan gets the ultimate accolade. She is a contestant on Richard Osman's House of Games alongside Cheryl Baker, Chris Bavin and fellow comedian Axel Blake.,
