Vikki Stone is setting out on a UK tour for the first time in four years.

She is putting her fold-up piano in the back of the car and will be starting the tour in Bristol on September 20.

News: Comedian Gets Classical Music Published

Musical comedian Vikki Stone's Concerto For Comedian and Orchestra has been published by Faber Music. Stone now sits on their website between Stolz and Stravinsky. 

Stone performed the work at Latitude and Glastonbury and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival last year at the 700-seater Pleasance Grand.

News: Vikki Stone Joins BBC Proms Team

Musical comedian Vikki Stone has joined the BBC team covering the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall.

She revealed the news on Facebook, explaining she will have her own twice weekly BBC Music podcast, with excerpts going out on Radio 3 during the live broadcasts.

The first episode is out on Friday, featuring composer Gabriel Prokoviev, cellist Sol Gabetta and chats with fans in the queue.

Vikki Stone is to star in an immersive production of A Midsummer Night's Dream.

The musical comedian plays Oberon/Mia in The Donkey Show – A Midsummer Night's Disco. The poster says it was created by Randy Weiner and Diane Paulus, though we presume Shakespeare had a hand in it somewhere too.

It has previously been a hit off-Broadway and mixes disco scenes and music with acrobatics, fire breathing and aerialist skills. The audience walks around to follow the action.

Musical comedian Vikki Stone is to appear on BBC2 as part of its Christmas line-up in the TV premiere of the BBC Music film Ten Pieces II.

Stone stars alongside fellow comedian Doc Brown, actor Christopher Eccleston and Pixie Lott.

Further to BTJ's column speculating on how the comedy world would respond to the election of Jeremy Corbyn as Labour's new leader there have already been some entertaining developments.

It has actually been David Cameron's comments that prompted the pithiest satire. After the results were announced the PM's Twitter account tweeted that Corbyn's election posed a threat to "our national security, our economic security and your family’s security.”


News: Vikki Stone to do TED Talk at CERN

Comedian Vikki Stone is to perform at CERN, home of the Large Hadron Collider as part of their TED Talks season 2015.

Stone recently performed her science-themed song about Brian Cox on BBC One’s The John Bishop Show, and it caught the attention of the largest particle physics laboratory in the world, CERN.
