Canadian comedy Schitt's Creek has created awards history at the Emmys in America.
The comedy about magnate Johnny Rose and his family, who are forced to relocate to a small town after being defrauded and losing their wealth, won nine awards, the most wins in a single season for a comedy.
The series won Best Comedy Series, with the show's creators, father and son Eugene and Daniel Levy, picking up Best Comedy Actor and Best Supporting Comedy Actor.
