If you want to get into the WeGotTickets Musical Comedy Awards final get a guitar. But if you want to win it do something different. That was the takeaway of another strong final that was dominated by string-pluckers but won by someone who pushed a different set of comedy buttons.
You certainly get a lot of bang for your bucks at the Musical Comedy Awards Final. Twelve finalists, plut a set from Best Newcomer The Queens of Cups and a finale featuring spoof Europopsters Fjord. I think it is fair to say there was something for everyone. As long as you like music with your comedy.
First finalist Emily Cairns certainly had musical chops to spare, belting out a couple of jazzy comic numbers.
