It’s been nearly a year since the chaotic events of Series One of Big Mood, and Eddie and Maggie haven’t spoken in all that time. As they re-enter each other’s lives, the series asks the question: can a friendship truly recover after a major falling out?
Filming has started for series two of Channel 4 hit comedy Big Mood starring Nicola Coughlan (Bridgerton, Derry Girls) and Lydia West (It’s A Sin, Inside Man). Written and created by Camilla Whitehill and produced by Fremantle’s Dancing Ledge Productions (The Responder, The Salisbury Poisonings), the six-episode series will air on Channel 4 next year.
Hit Channel 4 comedy Big Mood will be returning for a second outing. Nicola Coughlan (Bridgerton, Derry Girls) will return as Maggie and Lydia West (It’s A Sin, Inside Man) will return as Eddie, following a hugely successful first series that was Channel 4 streaming’s highest new comedy launch since Derry Girls.
Nicola Coughlan made her name in school uniform in Derry Girls and she's back in school in the first episode of C4's new comedy Big Mood. Only this time she is there as an alumnus, a not-as-successful-as-she-claims playwright giving a motivational talk to the next generation.
