The winner of the inaugural Komedia New Comedy Award is Michael Akadiri. After a tight competition, Akadiri was presented his award onstage at Komedia in Brighton.
Dinesh Nathan was 1st runner up and joint 2nd runner up places were awarded to Fran Kissling and Will Robbins.
The Komedia New Comedy Award was launched in January 2020 in association with Comic Boom and Victoria Nangle.
The two wild card finalists have been revealed for the inaugural Komedia New Comedy Award.
Jack Abela and Alfie Packham were put through based on a public vote after clips of them performing were put on YouTube.
Nine out of the eleven finalists for the first ever Komedia New Comedy Award have been revealed.
The two remaining finalists will be chosen by wild card voting which is now live.

Marina Kobler (Komedia), Jill Edwards (Comic Boom) and Victoria Nangle (comedy critic) have combined forces to create this new award. The aim of the Komedia New Comedy Award is to continue to discover and support exciting new comic talent, and to offer opportunities for development.
