Latitude Review: Bill Bailey

Before the final headliner Bill Bailey came on on Sunday evening the compere David Morgan asked everyone to stand up so that more people could get into the tent. There were probably more people in the comedy tent for Bailey than there were at the entire first few Latitudes a decade ago.

Opinion: Why Star Ratings Don't Tell The Whole Story

I went to see Bill Bailey at the Vaudeville Theatre last night. I reviewed the show for the Evening Standard and gave it four stars. During a brief email exchange with a sub-editor I mentioned that it was nearly a five star show and she replied that my review made it sound like almost a five star review too.  So why didn't it get the full quintet?

Review: BBC iPlayer Funny Valentines – Bill Bailey: Love Song

Bill Bailey is known as a nature-loving, eco-friendly comedian so maybe that’s why he has recycled a song he has been doing for over a decade for the BBC iPlayer’s Funny Valentines series. That’s not a negative criticism. Far from it. It’s good to see that something that he has been performing onstage at least as far back as the 2004 Part Troll tour has now been given a chance to blossom into this four minute epic complete with a video featuring exploding belisha beacons.
