The Comedy Poster Awards celebrate the best artwork at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
First taking place in 2014, this competition was established by TV and live comedy producer Gina Lyons to celebrate the most popular and loved designs in poster artwork at the Fringe: from the idea, to the photo, to the finished artwork.
The ISH Edinburgh Comedy Awards is back at the Edinburgh Fringe for a second year with new sponsor Jones Bootmaker, becoming the Jones Bootmaker ISH Edinburgh Comedy Awards. There will be three prizes of £5,000 each for Best Show (won last year jointly by Paul Foot and Julia Masli), Best Newcomer and Panel Prize, with 100% of the sponsorship going on the prizes.
Now in their 42nd year, ‘the Oscars of Comedy’ will light up the Edinburgh Fringe throughout August, spotlighting the next generation of comedic talent. The Edinburgh Comedy Awards continue to be the hallmark of comedy excellence and potential, with previous winners and nominees having 3088 screen credits between them.
The inaugural (ISH) Edinburgh Comedy Awards – an alternatuve in 2023 to the long-established Edinburgh Comedy Awards – returns this year with a new sponsor. The ISH Awards involves a voluntary panel of judges seeing every eligible comedy show at the Fringe, where 100% of any sponsorship goes towards the artists.
