Canadian comedy Schitt's Creek has created awards history at the Emmys in America.
The comedy about magnate Johnny Rose and his family, who are forced to relocate to a small town after being defrauded and losing their wealth, won nine awards, the most wins in a single season for a comedy.
The series won Best Comedy Series, with the show's creators, father and son Eugene and Daniel Levy, picking up Best Comedy Actor and Best Supporting Comedy Actor.
Catherine O'Hara was named Best Comedy Actress. Annie Murphy won Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
HBO's Succession won Best Drama Series and co-star Jeremy Strong won Best Actor. It also won for Best Writing and Best Directing.
"This is such a very nice moment," said the show's creator Jesse Armstrong, who co-created C4 comedy Peep Show. "But it's sad not to be with the cast and crew to share it."
