American comedy hit The Good Place is to return for a fourth series.

In the latest episode of the current run in which a group of mismatched friends try to get to heaven, known as The Good Place, Eleanor (Kristen Bell), Chidi (William Jackson Harper), Tahani (Jameela Jamil) and Jason (Manny Jacinto) seemed to have finally made it back into the Good Place. But there are three more episodes of this season to air in the new year and then a whole new fourth season to follow, so who knows how long they will stay there. 

Ted Danson also stars as Michael and D'Arcy Carden stars as Janet. In the latest episodes D'Arcy Carden also had to play the main four characters as they had inhabited Janet's body. And Stephen Merchant had a cameo as an accountant.

The creator is Michael Schur, who was also one of the people behind Parks and Recreation. 

The series is currently available on Netflix in the UK but it has also been acquired by E4, who will start screening the whole thing from episode one from Thursday December 13 at 9pm.
