News: Big Bang Theory Prequel Young Sheldon Confirmed for C4

Channel 4 has confirmed that it will be screening Young Sheldon, The Big Bang Theory prequel which follows the life of a 9-year-old Sheldon Cooper as he struggles to be understood by his family, classmates and neighbours.

The highly anticipated 13 episode series stars Iain Armitage (Big Little Lies), Zoe Perry (Scandal, The Family, Grey’s Anatomy), Lance Barber (The Comeback, Black-ish, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), Annie Potts(GCB, Designing Women, Love & War) Montana Jordan and Raegan Revord (Modern Family, Grace and Frankie). Jim Parsons (The Big Bang Theory, The Normal Heart) narrates as Adult Sheldon.

For 9-year-old Sheldon Cooper, it isn’t easy growing up in East Texas. Being a once-in-a-generation mind capable of advanced mathematics and science isn’t always helpful in a land where church and football are king. And while the vulnerable, gifted and somewhat naïve young Sheldon deals with the world, his very normal family must find a way to deal with him...

Young Sheldon will be broadcast on C4 in 2018.
