News: Jo Brand & Alan Davies To Return In Damned

Channel 4 has confirmed that Damned, the black comedy based around the lives of two jaded social workers played by Jo Brand and Alan Davies, is returning to the channel for a new six-part series in 2018.

Created by Jo Brand and Morwenna Banks, the second series returns to Elm Heath Social Services where much has changed… but quite a lot hasn’t. In a post-Brexit world, defined by a new government and legislation that no one can really fathom, Rose (Jo Brand) remains as irritable, chaotic and resentful as ever as she tries to juggle home, work, family and her far-too-present ex-husband. Meanwhile Al (Alan Davies), apathetically trying to surf a mid-life crisis, considers pastures new to inject some much-needed excitement, and a new challenge, into his life.

Martin (Kevin Eldon), Nat (Isy Suttie - Peep Show), Denise (Georgie Glen), Nitin (Himesh Patel - EastEnders) and Ingrid (Morwenna Banks) will also be returning to the series.

Also confirmed today is High & Dry starring Marc Wooton. More here.

Also confirmed today is Lee & Dean. More here.

Also confirmed is Young Sheldon.
