News: Filming Dates Confirmed For New Stand-Up Comedy Show

Filming dates have been confirmed for a new show featuring stand-up comedy sets from comedians who are over fifty years old.

The Comedians Live at The King's will be shot over two nights at the King's Theatre in Glasgow on March 20 & 21 next year.

The plan is for 24 comedians to film 10-minute sets each which will then be turned into eight 30-minute broadcast-ready TV programmes which will then be offered to networks.

The idea originally came about after comedian John Moloney drew attention to the face that established mainstream shows such as Live at the Apollo rarely featured comedians who were over fifty, yet these are exactly the kind of comedians who have years of experience on the comedy circuit and the proven ability to win over any audience.

To take part the comedians have been asked to stump up £1000 of their own money to go towards production costs. The project has also been supported by at least one anonymous donor who has put money forward to help with costs.
