News: Carl Donnelly Sets Out On Tour & Hunt For Podcast Partner

Comedian Carl Donnelly is looking for people to stand-in for his podcast partner Chris Martin.

Donnelly and Martin regularly record the Carl Donnelly and Chris Martin Podcast, which was included in the Guardian’s ‘top 10 comedy list’ and has over 50,000 followers. But next year when Donnelly is touring the UK with his latest show Bad Man Tings Martin will be in Los Angeles, so they will be unable to meet up to record together.

So Donnelly has decided to presents fans with a unique opportunity to guest host on an episode in each town he is set to perform in. Members of the public believing they possess the wit and charisma up to the task are invited to Tweet @CarlDonnelly or visit www.carlandchrispodcast.com to take part.

An Edinburgh Fringe favourite, Donnelly's style of comedy has landed him nominations for the Edinburgh Comedy Award in 2013 and for Best Newcomer in 2009. He has won Best Newcomer at The Chortle Awards (2007), Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year (2007) and Laughing Horse New Act of the Year (2006). Donnelly has also performed at some of the biggest comedy festivals in the world including Montreal Just for Laughs, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Sydney Comedy Festival and Kilkenny Cat Laughs.

His TV appearances include Russell Howard’s Stand Up Central (Comedy Central), Mock The Week (BBC Two), Russell Howard's Good News (BBC Three), Stand Up For The Week (Channel 4), Dave's One Night Stand, Alan Davies’ As Yet Untitled (both Dave) and Football Tonight (BT Sport). On the radio, Carl has featured on programmes including The Back End of Next Week (BBC Radio 5 Live), Loose Ends (BBC Radio 4), Act Your Age (BBC Radio 4) and is a regular guest on talkSPORT.
