Farce legend and health campaigner Lord Brian Rix has died. He was 92.

Rix was famous for starring in farces onscreen and in the West End's Whitehall Theatre for over thirty years.

In later life he also became known as a passionate campaigner on mental health issues and was president of the learning disability charity Mencap.
