News: Paul Gascoigne Could Be Charged Over Joke

Paul Gascoigne could face a charge of racially aggravated abuse following a comment he allegedly made during a stage show in Wolverhampton last year.

According to the BBC the former England and Spurs footballer has been issued with a summons to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court on 17 June.

The case relates to something the 49-year-old allegedly said during his Evening with Gazza show at Wolverhampton Civic Hall on November 30.

According to reports a complaint was made after Gascoigne saw a black security guard and allegedly said “If you weren’t smiling, I wouldn’t be able to see you.”
