News: Stand Up To Use Phone Locking Technology During Gig

American comedian Dave Chappelle is to employ pioneering technology to stop his audience using mobile phones during his sets. The stand-up superstar is testing the technology, made by San Fancisco company Yondr, at his current Chicago appearances.

According to a story in the Hollywood Reporter fans will be given pouches to put their phones into on their way into the auditorium. These will then be activated so that the phones will not be accessible during the performance. The pouch is locked so that fans cannot film or take photos. Hannibal Buress has also recently used this new device.
