Tim Minchin is to headline a special gig at the Old Vic Theatre in London. The show, on November 15, is to be the first in a series of Old Vic Variety Nights.

The line-up will also feature magician Dynamo, comedian Mark Watson and a performance by the Tredegar Town Band, the brass band who recently performed parts of the musical score in the feature film Pride. Further acts are to be announced.

Minchin already has connections with the Old Vic. His next musical, Groundhog Day, is due to open there in 2016.
