Mock The Week returns to free-to-air TV channel, TLC this Sunday at 9pm for a second series hosted by Dara Ó Briain. The opening episode delivers a comedy powerhouse line-up featuring series regular Rhys James joined by Ahir Shah, Hugh Dennis, Laura Lexx, Sara Pascoe and Scott Bennett. Together the panel tackle the week's biggest talking points, including new Prime Minister Andy Burnham, plans for a No.10 North and the return of the Bayeux Tapestry.

First up, the panel reacts to the appointment of Andy Burnham as the new Prime Minister, with Rhys James observing "The only thing I've really noticed from him, is when he did his big alert……he sort of texted us saying don’t do a BBQ. And do you know what was mad about it? At the exact time I got the alert, that second, I was lighting a BBQ, I didn’t know anyone else got the alert……I thought he could see me.”

Talk then turns to news of a proposed No.10 North. Sara Pascoe remarks, “I like the whole No.10 thing, I think the No. 10 brand is very strong and they can open even more … like a No.10 Metro, a No.10 Express, little No.10 for some little democracy bits for on the way home, No.10 Deliveroo, so if it’s raining they just bring it to your door.”

Hugh Dennis suggests Andy Burnham may face a unique challenge, “In the end he’ll have to decide which No.10 he resigns in front of.”

Ahir Shah adds, “I think it’s the first time a politician has tried to become more popular by getting a second home.”

Mock the Week continues Sundays at 9pm on TLC. It forms part of a bumper TLC schedule which is now available free-to-air in the UK and becomes comedy’s newest home. Unacceptable, hosted by Ed Gamble, will return for a second series in November, followed by brand-new series Top Trumps: The Comedy Pack with Katherine Ryan also coming soon to TLC.
