How does it feel to be returning to Glasgow for another series of Picture Slam?
I am so excited about being back up here in gorgeous Glasgow, which I love. It’s just got such a vibe. The food, the bars, the shopping. I love it, but also, I love Picture Slam. It's just my kind of quiz, quick fire, silly, random. You don't know what's gonna happen next. It's a bit like if my life was a quiz show.
I love the randomness of it, because some quizzes, you watch it and you finish and you go, ‘oh God, I feel stupid’. But with this one, it's so uplifting. And there's a question for everyone. There's something for people who grew up in the 70s, the 80s, there's Gen Z, baby boomers. You name it, everyone!
What can viewers expect from the new series?
It's that old thing of if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
The questions have gotten even more random. They're more out there, and we do the round now where we twist and mix up the images, and they are even more twisted.
We also have people now who apply to be on the show who are Picture Slam fanatics. They love it. They are super fans. So, we have to up the ante a bit. We’ve got to make it a bit more difficult because people love the show and they want to win big.
Why do you think the show is so popular and what makes it different from other game shows?
I think it's perfect family viewing. A lot of people have said to me they can sit down with the whole family and enjoy it together. There are questions from the 60s all the way up to 2026. You'll probably get your gran shouting answers out, and then you'll get a five-year-old shouting answers out.
You have three celebrity episodes this time, one being a festive special, how excited are you?
Super excited about the celebrity episodes. It'll be interesting to see how quick celebrities are because the rounds are fast and furious. I get out of breath reading the questions and it's nice to see them under pressure and people like to see some of their favourite celebrities panicking, sweating, getting it right.
For me, the funny bits are when people panic and they say the wrong, stupidest answers. And celebrities, are loose lipped as it is, so we're ready to get some real stupid answers in the nicest possible way.
We’ve got singers, we've got actors, we’ve got presenters. Hopefully they won't look too stupid, and they'll get at least one Picture Slam.
Who would be your dream guest?
Keith Lemon, he'll be funny and he is mad. Leigh Francis, he goes by now. His mind is insane.
Which of your fellow players on ‘The Celebrity Traitors’ would you like to see on Picture Slam?
Stephen Fry, he’s great. He would win outright. He's very clever, but he wasn't clever enough to know I was a traitor. I'd love all the traitors cast on because we have such a good time.
We should do a Picture Slam Traitors special, the castle for the Traitors is in Scotland. I'm sure they can all jump on a minibus. We can go to the castle, have a nice reunion and a picnic, and then we'd come all the way to Glasgow to film a bit of Picture Slam, it would be the perfect day.
What's your favourite game to play at Christmas, are you competitive?
I play Cluedo. I know it's not very Christmassy, is it? We'll play Cluedo and of course a murder mystery. But after a few wines, I will do charades and pretend to put a cloak on and put the lantern up so everyone knows it's Traitors. I have to remind them one more time.
I'm quite competitive. When we play Monopoly, I don't like coming second, I want to come first and I think I've got quite a boujie lifestyle. I always like putting hotels on Mayfair, I don't like the brown ones, you know, like Old Kent Road. No, no, no, I'm not happy about that. I want luxury penthouses, train stations, and then I'll evict my own family because I'm quite ruthless, even though it's Christmas Day. I'll double their rent.

How does it feel to be taking part in Alan Carr’s Picture Slam?
I'm really excited. What a fun way to spend a day with some great people and hopefully raise some money for a great charity. I'm really looking forward to it because this is just really up my street.
If you could host the ultimate celebrity game night, who would you invite and what games would you play?
Alan Carr. Because he knows all the answers is what I'd say and we’d play Pictionary or I Trivial Pursuit when you get to show oS and try to be clever. So, yeah, Alan Carr and he can bring Amanda [Holden]. Why not?
