Ricky Gervais Announces 'Legend' Tour And Netflix Deal

Netflix has bought the rights to stream Ricky Gervais’ next tour before it’s even started.

Gervais will tour the new show, titled ‘Legend’, from autumn 2026 through to the end of 2027, when it will be filmed and become his fifth in a string of globally successful Netflix specials.

The first set of UK shows on the new Legend tour, from September – December 2026 (listings below), are announced today, with the tour then set to travel the globe throughout 2027, visiting the biggest arenas across the UK, Europe and North America (date announcements to follow).

Gervais’ four previous tours HumanitySupernatureArmageddon and Mortality all broke box office records and topped the Netflix charts upon release. Armageddon and Mortality both won Ricky a Golden Globe for ‘Stand-Up Comedy on Television’, in 2024 and 2026 respectively.

Tickets for the first set of UK dates on the ‘Ricky Gervais: Legend’ tour go on general sale on Friday 26th June 2026, 10am. Tickets at livenation.co.uk.

Gervais says: “This is my most personal show so far and because both cancel culture, and most people I knew growing up, are dead, I can really say what the f*ck I want now.”

Netflix have purchased ‘Legend’ for an undisclosed amount but Gervais added “I’m not saying how much they’re paying me this time, but I can say it’s my favourite deal so far.”

Gervais will once more be donating a portion of the proceeds from the tour’s ticket sales to charity - £2.43 million was donated to worldwide animal charities at the end of his Mortality tour in 2025.
