Blonde Medicine has announced the release of actor, comedian, and viral sensation Gianmarco Soresi’s comedy album Thief of Joy (Live in San Francisco), which was recorded specifically for the audio format with bonus album-only content. A few weeks after premiering his first full-length comedy special by the same name which has already accrued almost 3M views, this alternate version of the hour is out now as an album produced by Blonde Medicine. Thief of Joy (Live in San Francisco) is available on all audio streaming services now.
It’s been a landmark year for Gianmarco. He sold out his international Drama King Tour across the globe, including a completely sold-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August. He earned spots on Variety, Vulture, and Deadline’s prestigious “Top Comics” lists, performed at JFL Montreal in multiple showcases including a Lovett or Leave It live podcast taping, Variety’s 10 Comics to Watch, and the Fortune Feimster Gala. He surpassed 1 million followers on YouTube and TikTok, and was the winner of the crowd work episode of Dropout: Game Changer.
Thief of Joy (Live in San Francisco) blends Gianmarco’s signature theatrical flair with deeply personal storytelling, and includes more content than the video version, specifically tailored to the audio format. Drawing from his life as a theatre kid turned theatre major, he weaves together intimate anecdotes about his relationship, career, and his parents’ divorce.
