
Reigning champion Bob Mortimer is set to return for the second series of Last One Laughing UK (LOL) on Prime Video.
After his victory in the first season national treaure Mortimer will defend his crown up against a new line-up of comedians. The winner is the one who manages to avoid laughing. Last time round Mortimer won after a tense face-off with Richard Ayoade.
Broadcast has reported that the second season has already been filmed at an undisclosed location. the streaming date has not been announced yet, although The Sun has suggested that Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Amy Gledhill will be one of the comics competing.
Jimmy Carr will be returning once agin as host. The line-up has not been revealed, although after the first series beyond the joke ran a poll to see who people would like to appear on the second series. The results are here.
The first series was the second most streamed Prime Video show after the first episode of series three of Clarkson's Farm, attracting six million viewers in the first month.
The format has been a hit all over the world, with Graham Norton hosting an Irish line-up that included Aisling Bea, Catherine Bohart and Jason Byrne.
The full line up for the first season was: Bob Mortimer, Daisy May Cooper, Harriet Kemsley, Joe Lycett, Joe Wilkinson, Judi Love, Lou Sanders, Richard Ayoade, Rob Beckett, and Sara Pascoe. Roisin Conaty was Jimmy Carr's wing-person. There were also guest cameos from Danny Dyer, Alison Hammond and Nick Mohammed.
