Monkey Barrel Comedy has released its second batch of shows for Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2025.
Building on the momentum of its first wave of programming - which included a host of critically acclaimed acts, returning favourites, and local talent - this new release cements Monkey Barrel’s status as a must-visit destination for comedy fans.
Among the highlights are Edinburgh Comedy Award winners Bridget Christie, Adam Riches, John Kearns, and Lara Ricote bringing works in progress to the festival. They are joined by ‘Best Show’ nominees Josh Glanc, Jessica Fostekew, and Zoë Coombs Marr.
The second batch of shows also includes Luke Rollason, Horatio Gould, and Josh Jones, as well as Fringe heavyweights Tony Laws, Tiff Stevenson, and Andrew O’Neill. Adult Swim contributor Alan Resnick and Emmy nominee Jacqueline Novak join US acts like Desiree Burch and Gianmarco Soresi on MBC’s festival line-up.
The programme continues to champion fast-rising stars and viral names, with Daniel Foxx, Milo Edwards, Laura Smyth, and Michael Fry all heading to Monkey Barrel. They are joined by Marise Gaughan, Katie Boyle and Bella Hull.
The 2025 programme also expands its late-night and alternative offerings, with riotous entries including Late Night Comedy Rave, Stepdads Present, RODEO!, and Stuart Laws as Michael Caine Saying Never for One Hour. Monkey Barrel favourites Roast Battle Allstars and Comedians Beer Mat Flipping Championship also return to bring glorious chaos to the small hours.
Scottish acts remain a key part of the Fringe programme, with stand-out names like Chris Forbes, Mark Nelson, Ryan Cullen, and Stuart Murphy all confirmed for August.
This second wave of programming adds to an already stacked line-up that includes Ahir Shah, Alison Spittle, Janine Harouni, Pierre Novellie, Sindhu Vee, and many more, across nine venues including two new spaces at the iconic Cabaret Voltaire.
Tickets are on sale now at edfringe.com.
