Maisie Adam is to do the voiceover on major new ITV reality show The Cabins, which launches in January.

Adam tweeted the news: "Anyone who knows me knows I bloody LOVE a dating show, so I’m over the moon to be providing the voice in your ears for this brilliant show - I can’t wait for you all to see it!"

In the series singletons are challenged to the most revealing first date of their lives as they attempt to find true love. 

The Cabins sees couples immediately move in together, as their date begins in their very own exclusive log cabins, complete with simmering hot tubs and set in beautiful surroundings.

Nestled together in their intimate cabins, the singletons will have quality time to really get to know their date. From heartfelt moments or declarations of love, to awkward silences and difficult dating conversations, viewers will be able to follow all the antics and find out if the sparks fly or quickly fizzle out.  

Having made it through the first 24 hours they then have to decide if they would like to spend more time together - or call it a day and walk away. 

Adam added on Facebook: "It’s got all the sexiness of Love Island, the cuteness of First Dates, the intensity of Married At First Sight, the madness of Love Is Blind, and THE VOICE OF A SWEET NORTHERN ANGEL, what more do ya want?! (ps that ain’t my voice in the trailer, you’ll have to wait till the show to hear my dulcet tones).

Adam has picked up an Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer nomination and won the Amused Moose National New Comic Award 2018 and So You Think You’re Funny? in 2017.

The Cabins, with voiceover by Maisie Adam, broadcasts weeknights at 9pm on ITV from January 4.
