News: Comedian Simon Clayton In Hospital After Stroke – Crowdfunder Campaign Reaches Target And Continues

Comedian Simon Clayton is in hospital after suffering a stroke earlier this week.

His wife, comedian Mary Bourke, has reported on his condition on Facebook. Yesterday she wrote that he had come off the ventilator and was responding to commands.

The comedy community has been quick to offer their support. The couple had already been hit by the loss of work due to Covid19.

A crowdfunder campaign was set up by comic Susan Murray hoping to raise £3000 and it quickly reached that target. It is still going and to date has raised £9415.

You can donate to the fund here.
