11 July was World Fringe Day – a celebration of the international fringe movement that started in Edinburgh and has given rise to more that 200 festivals around the world.

The Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society's Chief Executive, Shona McCarthy, has recorded a short message outlining our story so far, and hopefully offering some optimism and solidarity.
