Bec Hill certainly gets around. Over the last year I’ve seen her doing whimsical illustrations to accompany songs and stories and she is also involved in the Pun Run nights where wordplay is the order of the day. And last week I switched on TV channel London Live and saw her teaching a posh dude to be a streetwise rapper in Ctrl Freaks. The fact that he was hopeless was no reflection on Hill’s skills. The viviacious young Australian with an interesting line in make-up is now warming up for her Edinburgh show, entitled Ellipsis – you know, those little dots at the end of sentences. She is at the Camden Head tonight with highly original oddball Pat Cahill. Apparently in October 2013 Hill announced that she was going to write an award-winning show. Whether this is the one we shall see…
Bec Hill is at The Gilded Balloon from July 30 - August 24. Tickets here.
